To Majorie

Lana photographed several images in the town of Lawrence, New Zealand. In particular, this image stood out. The bright orange vase through the broken glass was what caught her eye initially. Lana named the painting “To Majorie” after her Grandmother, who was a huge part of of Lana’s life and was very encouraging in supporting Lana to pursue her love of painting. Upon completion of the painting, Lana felt the presence of her late Grandmother with her and as a tribute to her, dedicated the painting to her. Some weeks later, Lana observed the ‘face’ of a lady in one of the bottles. There was no mistaking the familiar face; it was the face of Majorie!
