Gestalt View

Commissioned Art piece by Founder and CEO of Indevin New Zealand, Duncan McFarlane.
Duncan’s vision was to show case a unique and original art piece that was personal, unique and representational of the Art of making beautiful wine. 
Lana not only makes it personal by painting Duncan’s hand in each piece, but captures the process and the care taken to make the final product. 
Lana named the piece ‘Gestalt View’ - meaning ‘the whole is greater than the sum of its parts’.  That is, the attributes of the whole are not deducible from analysis of the parts in isolation. The word Gestalt is used in modern German to mean the way a thing has been “placed” or “put together”. There is no exact equivalent in English.
