Many of Lana's Artworks include a technique known as 'releif' work - where sculpted elements are attached to a solid background, creating a 3D aspect. Her work has been featured in exhibitions across New Zealand, highlighting her unique artistic perspective.
“Being able to create, has always been my driver in life. My best works are inspired by the places I’ve been and the people I meet. The energy I gain from these places or people, is what I try to translate to canvas. When I have an authentic experience, it becomes a personal memory or sentiment, for myself and for others as well. I’m more about creating Art pieces that are meaningful and thought provoking. I try to consider the aesthetics and tonal attributes, using nature as my guide – as well as the quality of finish, so it can passed on to future generations to come. My ‘craft’ is in the detail – it takes time. Above all – when I paint with joy, it flows through my brushes.
"With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony, and the deep power of joy, we see into the life of things."
William Wordsworth
